I was employed with the Western Michigan Univerity’s College of Aviation for the 2007 and 2008 academic years. During that time, I had the pleasure of working with a number of great people that gave me the freedom to rethink nearly everything about the existing college web site.

The entire College of Aviation web site was rebuilt from the ground up, utilizing web standards and advanced web technologies. Through this process, I was able to cut site resource requirements by two-thirds while providing an enhanced user experience with a simple, attractive design and new features like RSS feeds.

Services

  • Optimize — By updating code and practices, I was able to cut the space requirements for the College of Aviation web site by two-thirds and new updates rapidly.
  • Consult — During our time with the College of Aviation, I was asked to provide insight into numerous possible web-related ventures, many of which we also implemented.
